Common Funding Streams
While MCOs manage the distribution of funds, the actual funding for services typically comes from one of the following streams.
NC Innovations Waiver
A Medicaid waiver providing specialized services for individuals with I/DD, enabling community living.
B3 Services
Medicaid-funded services as a safety net or step-down from the Innovations Waiver.
State Funded (IPRS)
State-allocated funds for individuals who meet developmental disability criteria.
